Requirements for Driving with Cornershop

There are clear requirements for delivering groceries with Cornershop. It is important that you study the Cornershop Website for all the latest details and requirements for driving with Cornershop, especially for your particular location.

Cornershop can be delivered by CAR, MOTORCYCLE, BIKE, or FOOT. This article focuses on delivery by CAR. (Please visit the Cornershop Website to see requirements for other delivery methods.)

Generally, Cornershop requires that you:

    • Are at least 18 years old.
    • Are eligible to work in Canada.
    • Can communicate well in English or French (depending on location).
    • Have a valid driver’s license.
    • Provide an eligible vehicle:
        • No older than 13 years
        • Registered & insured (insurance must include your name)
        • Good condition
    • Are willing to sign the legal agreements which reflect your arrangements with Cornershop.

As you are probably aware, you must provide your own technology: A verifiable email address and cellphone number; and a smartphone and data plan with sufficient coverage for all your online work and road time.

(By the way, if you are already registered for Uber Rideshare or Uber Eats, you still need to register separately with Cornershop – even though Cornershop is an Uber company and customers can shop in the Uber Eats app.)

Please remember that Cornershop’s requirements vary slightly from one province to another. So it is important that you study the Cornershop Website about specific requirements for the location where you plan to drive.
